Background

I am Walter DeVeas, based in Fort Myers, Florida. I earned a B.S. in Computer Science, cum laude (GPA 3.6), from Loyola University New Orleans in May 2024—coursework across data structures, AI and machine learning, software engineering, linear algebra, computer organization, relational databases, and object-oriented programming.

Today I work as a Technical Support Expert at Rentvine, helping clients and partners succeed with our platform and APIs, triaging issues in Jira, and writing Cypress tests so defects are caught before release. Previously I ran Walter IT, LLC in Maryland, delivering web apps with React and Express (including PERN-stack work), cybersecurity and network projects, and disciplined Git-based collaboration.

My internship with Loyola Communications and Broadcasting blended broadcast operations with software: TriCaster automation for Tulane football on ESPN, API integrations for device management, and a real-time dashboard for network health and troubleshooting. I gravitate toward problems where clear code, solid testing, and calm communication all matter.
